Rollers for trolleys in various diameters, available in steel or plastic material (polyamide 6), with or without safety guides. The use of plastic materials ensures low noise, high shock absorption capacity, high resistance to chemical agents, and reduced rail wear. Plastic wheels are therefore the preferred choice when maximum possible silence is required, when used on uneven surfaces, or in the presence of oils, aggressive chemicals, or gasoline. Plastic materials also provide good load capacities due to their high elasticity, which increases the contact surface (about 5 times greater than that of a steel wheel). The use of steel ensures extremely high load capacities, the possibility of achieving high maneuvering speeds, and reduced wheel wear. Steel wheels are therefore the preferred choice when high stresses and/or high speeds are required, and on smooth surfaces. The steel used for the rollers undergoes a normalizing treatment.
